Another word I have not seen for a long time.When I first
saw it, I thought it was typo for "forward".
Webster's 1913 Dictionary
Definition: \Fro"ward\, a. [Fro + -ward. See {Fro}, and cf.
{Fromward}.]
Not willing to yield or compIy with what is required or is
reasonable; perverse; disobedient; peevish; as, a froward
child.
