Now I do understand that a chase is a water path--as in a mill chase through which the water flows. Chase is a wonderful name for a person--there's the mill chase, of course, but there is also the hunt--and the idea of life's being a hunt, whether for truth, wealth, power, love... To have a character describe an artist's colors as 'chasing' is really wonderful in my mind--these are vibrant waters, full of life. But what of these chasing attics? I don't get that. Haven't referred to Onelook yet, but chasing attics doesn't ring any kind of a bell.
