A paradox being essentially a measure of our lack of understanding, a paradoxymoron is something that seems to be an oxymoron only because we don't understand fully. For example: bright orange camo for hunters. It seems to be an oxymoron because the bright orange is to enhance visibility and the camo is to make the hunter less visible. It ceases to be an oxymoron when we realize that the deer are color-blind and cannot see the bright orange.
