http://www.enhancedvision.com/This is the maker of the JORDY which helps people with macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy (sp?) among several problems. The story is in the column on right side of page and has a MORE button. Saw the device on the Today Second Cup Cafe at 10 a.m. EST and thought it might be of interest to a few of our AWADers ... I have no connection with the company or the product. Just thought it is better to pass the info along than have someone suffering from a circumscribed life when there is a product that might help.

Cool, wow--thanks. And say, as a former newspaper person--why is it that the most newsworthy news seems to be the negatives? Car crashes and the like?

Thanks for that wow, I have sent for some info' for my father who at 85 has macular degeneration but still travels the world unaccompanied. I suspect it will prove too pricey unless demos are available here to convince him it will work. But still.... worth giving it a go!
