I feel so, like, wanting this book:
Evasion English by Maggie Balistreri

Here's her interview earlier this week on NPR on the various evasive uses of "like"

Looks interesting. I'll listen to the interview tonight. Thanks, Snake!
Or, - I feel, so like wanting this book! Take aim, Ms. Balistreri.![]()
Would like to read it too, AnnaS. Thanks.
This sounds like an enjoyable read. I wonder how often it will make me cringe by pointing out my own foibles. ;-) I know I felt that way when I read "Class" by Paul Fussell (which is a clever piece as well, btw). Thank you for the links. I'm going to check it out.
Fun interview--thanks, Anna.
Oh, yeah, I heard that interview like months ago, and it's still like rattling around in my head.
