Here is a word easy to understand, but not easy to define int this context:
"'Not exactly a friend,' replied Mr. Pickwick, in a low tone.
'The fact is, he is my servant, but I allow him to take a good many

and I am rather proud of him.'

They broke the mold after they made him.

(unlike in my case, where they broke the mold *before they made me)
