Cool, Alex--I've bookmarked it for future ref. I have to say, though, that I hope we don't suddenly start using them right and left. Dr. Bill has posted several times that he hates acronyms; and I myself know so few that I shudder at the thought of the time that would be involved if I had to learn all of them.
I do have to mention one, however: I wonder if the car company that makes Kias knew: KIA - Know It All

Oh I certainly don't mean to advocate their widespread use here on AWAD, er...A Word a Day that is, but since it was related to language and words I thought it would be of interest to all here. I also found a glossary of rap/hip hop slang that is interesting. I'll post that later.

Some I can guess but others I CFTLOMFO (can't for the life of me figure out) which by the way spell checked as Chablis
