This is an oldie but it fits well with the theme this week of high-falutin' insults. http://www.pangloss.com/seidel/Shaker/index.html?

One of my favorite insults supposedly was uttered in a courtroom, although I forget the reference. One person referred to another using the familiar pronoun "thou," and the other replied, "Darest thou 'thou' me, thou villain?"

Dear Alex: I just found a word for you.
"Charientism" Found in a Vocabula Review article discussing
use of foreign words.
Timing suggests I got the word the same place tsuwm did.

A story I heard about a teacher that managed to present Shakespeare to some high school students in a way that they could appreciate it:

They were urban youths and were particularly fond of the insult, "The devil curse thee black, thou moon-faced loon!"

As in calling a girl Crisco, because she's fat in the can.
Many agree with the Frenchman who said he did not care to experience the pelvic bones of a woman.
