what with our history here for posting useful sites, and all, I feel a strange obligation to start this thread, with this..

Blanksite.com happens to be a flashmob favorite.

Philosophically, it reminds us that there is a lot of empty space out there and a lot of empty people to fill it up.

It's actually a very profound artistic statement.

Indeed it was! Try googling "worthless websites" and see what you get near the top...

bushwa?

Pronunciation: (boosh'wä, -wô), [key]
—n.
rubbishy nonsense; baloney; bull: You'll hear a lot of boring bushwa about his mechanical skill. Also, bush'wah.

And who, pray tell, made you the ultimate arbiter of "worthlessness"?

Whatever. There are those who aspire to higher callings.

I liked the worthless reflex game The best I did was .11 seconds, but that was an accident! My average time was .33. Did anyone else get the "Congratulations! You are the 15,000th person to visit this site. Click here to close this window and contact our prize department."? Looked like one of those "win a free trip to Florida and the Bahamas" gambits where you have to go through the whole condo timeshares selling spiel to me.

Connie, I finally got .28, by turning my mouse around so that the motion did not have to travel the entire length of my finger as it lay on top of the mouse. It said I could have done better!

Alex...you could have kept that one to yourself, daggone it!

I love this thread, by the way, tsuwm.

Here's my favorite worthless website:

http://www.yuckles.com/yodel.htm

When you down and troubled and bored, visit the above site and practice yodeling.

Hey? Where's that drunk website?

Easy for you, you live out in the country! If I tried it, Public Safety would be bashing down my door and dragging me away in handcuffs

I happen to know there are plenty of people that think my singing should be considered a capital crime so I can only assume that any attempts at yodeling on my part would be more than most could bear and no doubt Public Safety would be dispatched forthwith, poste haste, inmediatamente.

there's something strangely compelling about the Zombo-man's voice.
I think Max could pull off a similar site...

As a 'jobless parasitic witch sucking on the underbelly of society' ( definition courtesy of one of my very best friends ) I am clearly well versed in time wasting, however, I simply can't compete with the einsteinian wastes of time and space above, and below

Interesting to reflect on our own slithy language development, which uses three different letters to render the start of Crafty, Kiwi, and Quordlepleen which all become basket cases on the Nile!

I like dodyskin's bubblewrap link above. That seems to be the most worthless of the bunch because it truly reflects how we get caught up in worthless occupations sometimes--just zone out--and bubblewrap is a real culprit. The package comes, you open up the box, and remove the bubble wrap from around the item of some value (perhaps or not), but it's the bubblewrap that you can't resist and fortunately no one's in the house with you as you begin to pop it with your fingers and take off your shoes and pop it under your soles and find yourself counting how many bubbles you have left to pop and are very disappointed when it's all over although relieved, too, because you're late picking up your friend...

But with the bubblewrap link dody provided, well, heh! Forget the friend! You get to pop bubbles--and they keep coming back.

Had some china delivered the other day wrapped in very tempting, taut, giant bubbles. Much to my dismay, they were all interconnected so that when you tried to pop a bubble, the air simply shifted into adjoining ones. Talk about spoilsport!
