Not exactly a word post, either, but I thought some people might be interested in a Harvard prof.'s article on Lady Godiva's ride. http://www.harvard-magazine.com/on-line/070377.htmlIt does contain an unusual word [stretching for credibility e]: scopophilia.

My recollection from psychiatric journals is that the;y always used "scoptophilia". I have no idea as to basis for apparent preference.

Scopophilia: arousal from being stared at oneself cf Scopophilia: Voyeurism
  Are not these opposing definitions?

I was going to ask the same thing, doc. And what's that word "oneself" doing in the first definition?

Now that my elders and betters have taken the lead, I feel safe in adding that I, too, was thinking similarly, and was also confused by the "oneself".

Perhaps you should ask Brenda Love that.

reply I got in my email
A cooler head (read: better half) suggested that the link I had posted wasn't a good link to have posted on a family site.

clearing everything up at once (excepting the "oneself"), I copy this from Dorland's medical dictionary:
scopophilia (sco·po·phil·ia) (sko-po-fil˘e-[schwa]) [Gr. skopein to view + -philia] 1. voyeurism; the derivation of sexual pleasure from looking at another's genital organs (active s.). 2. exhibitionism; the desire to be looked at by others (passive s.).
scopophobia (sco·po·pho·bia) (sko˛po-fo˘be-[schwa]) [Gr. skopein to view + -phobia] irrational fear of being seen.
                             scoptophilia (scop·to·phil·ia) (skop˛to-fil˘e-[schwa]) scopophilia.
                             scoptophobia (scop·to·pho·bia) (skop˛to-fo˘be-[schwa]) scopophobia.

So it's ambiguous, both passive and interactive, just like dogging?
