In reading Plutarch's life of Mark Antony, there is mentions a Roman army officer whose nickname was "Cotylon"
derived from "cotyle" = cup. This reminded me of botanical term "cotyledon" = the first leaf produced by a germinating seed. I'm a bit surprised that the root is not used in any other word. Do you know of any?
