My favorite extemporization used to be the Goldberg Variations. Damn my deafness.

Howcome you are all too lazy to point out the difference
between "variation" and "extemporize"?

Don't be polite, be instructive.
Goldberg = intellectual
I used to play it for hours when I had insomnia.Frequently.
Extemporaneous means spontaneous, like the best jazz.
An improvisation can be planned, rehearsed, and improved.

Thus keeping everyone awake and sharing the misery. Always makes me feel better too!

Misery loves company. But I used hi-fi headphones under pillow, and sacked out upstairs in my den. Now there's a word I haven't seen for years. A male sanctum sanctorum, off limits to females and kids.

"male sanctum sanctorum"
