Funny that this word should come up - I saw a quiz show just the other day where 'tween' was defined as a person between 20 and 29. I wouldn't have guessed that age group myself - but then it was foreign television. Anyway, according to that definition 'tween' is (somewhat illogically) pronounced 'twen' like twen-ty, rather than 'tween' like 'teen'.
