I happened upon the phrase dead horse, which is supposedly rhyming slang for tomato sauce (as in "don't forget to add the dead horse to your pasta"?!).

assuming this is so, I must ask:
is horse pronounced 'hawse' OR is sauce pronounced 'sorce'??
