e) a musical term for measuring the quality of a bagpipe's pitch. []

f) a cape or head that rises in a shallow slope from relatively low land, terminating in a precipitous drop to the sea with no or only a very narrow beach region. []

h) the measurable moisture content of the organic base in a forest bed. []

i) early electrical hot water system (named after its inventor). []

You bring out the best in us that would be 'us', tsuwm. It was a difficult decision, but I'll take a D because it hurts so good...

(We won't be fooled by Icelandic again!!).

D's hilarious, but I'll take G. Why do you have the little standing-up rectangles after the entries?

Why do you have the little standing-up rectangles after the entries?

I'm guessing this is either intentional (waiting for refill) or a cut/paste remnant from invisible but untranslatable code.

>waiting for refill

well yeah -- it's where the entrant's name was (e.g., see iggri results).

Can't be doing with all that Scots the noo - I'd rather eat Icelandic! But H is so nerdy it deserves a vote of support, poor thing :)

Arghness seems to me ineffable, that is, defying description. So I'll take an eff if I may.

M is so literal it almost has to be it, and almost-ditto for G, but the two colloquialisms make more sense to me,
so eenie-meenie, I'm going with B
in all its ridiculous simplicity! So there.

I neglected to mention that these are from:
maverick[x], ASp[x], WO'N[x], VernonC[x], Zed[x], Sparteye, sjmaxq, Faldage[x], musick[x], Bingley, tsuwm[na], Jackie[x], and a usually reliable source.

Jackie, the standing-up rectangles after the names show who's voted to date; the 'na' after my name indicates 'not applicable' - I hope this clarifies all. :)
