Such a waste. At least dear Plutarch has begun to list the Anu Word-a-Days here for the record.
But somehow just a list of even Anu's list seems a waste of valuable Awad real estate. Mmm...what we need here is an on-going project. Maybe weekly, maybe not...Yes! That's it!
We'll turn these silent digs into a vibrant workplace of ideas about the nature of words. No no no, not the origin of words but rather the future of words, that is, an examination of the influence of words in today's world and tomorrow's. Yeah...this is going to be great!
Well since tsuwm has livened up this place with such interesting postings I think it best that I move my great idea down to "English As A Global Language".
Hey tsuwm, how about you post in this weekly section a summary of your last week's "Worthless Word of the Day" ?
This would be convenient to us here and it would add another feature to Awad as well as promoting your site. Yes?
why thank you, milum.
actually I've been feeling some angst (hi Ms. J) that I didn't start that thread in MIScelLAny. but then I shouldn't feel too bad, as we know these things can develop a theme of their own and can hardly be "forced".
also, I almost started a new thread on the wwftd theme of the week (since this week's theme idea came to me here and 3 of this week's wwftds came to me here).
but I thought that would appear to be too self-serving.
Ah, go ahead, tsuwm. Life is short. Have a couple of servings of yourself.
Soon, I'll never have to go home again...
the hit rate at the wwftd site has taken a bump the last few weeks due to mentions at this site:

p.s. - I suspect that y'all have twigged to the fact that many's the week when the wwftd theme is "miscellaneous words". <ha!>
