Is it OK to say, "I went to give her her locket back."?

Is it OK to say, "I went to give her her locket back."?As long as that's what you mean. What seems to be wrong with it? The two personal pronouns in succession? You could reword to: "I went to give her locket back to her." but I don't think that sounds as nice as the first sentence.

I'm with jheem. It's perfectly correct, and sounds fine to my ear, too.

There's this old chestnut, that only looks right after the addition of quotation marks and other punctuation.
Mary where John had had had had had had had.

That's the silliest thing I've ever heard. No one will see it on here front, either, if it's beneath her clothing.

Hi Jheem:
I posted a longer version of this chestnut when I was much younger, but couldn't locate it by searching.
If only Mary, who had had "had", had had "had had"; "had had" had had the teacher's approval.
Cheers paulb

longer version
Yup, paulb. Like all good folklore, this one exists in more than one version.
