nice stuff there Connie, thanks.
formerly known as etaoin...
I had to look this one up,
inselberg ['©¥nzəlˌbɜ¢°g]
noun an isolated rocky hill rising abruptly from a flat plain
[ETYMOLOGY: from German, from Insel island + Berg mountain]
Be sure and check out the Bradshaw Gallery under Bradshaw Paintings. They are gobsmack material! I haven't been able to explore everything yet, but I'm working on it!
I can never remember whether "'©¥nzəlˌbɜ¢°g" is spelled with a ˌ or a ¥, but I've got a yen to use the latter spelling.

! You are funny today, sir!
Connie--neat; I love the giraffe, especially. Never saw Bradshaw Paintings, though--just B-shaw Shop, and Trustees.
Man--when I saw that you could buy a cast of the giraffe art, I thought how neat it would be to have one. I never will: they're $75,000. (!) The heads alone are a mere $10,000. You can buy me that for Christmas, if you want...
Jackie, the clickable links to different rock venuesstart with North Central Tanzania, then Chavet Cave, and the third is Bradshaw Paintings. Click on that and there will be a menu to the left. Click on Bradshaw Gallery. There you will find the pen and ink copies that Bradshaw made of rock art he "discovered" in the late 1800s. They are beautiful. I especially like the first action figure. If you click on the pen and ink drawing, a picture of the actual rock art comes up.
Ok!
