A favorite sentence that remains a sentence even after each word in it has been beheaded is:

Show this bold Prussian that praises slaughter, slaughter brings rout.

Anybody know any other examples? In other languages?

well, I've never seen one of these phrases before, and can't imagine that there are many of them. this ought to be fun!
