is a peccadillo a cross between a wild pig and an armadillo?
Save the peccadillo from extinction!
and don't forget peccavi, used in these precincts twice by dr. bill but not defined. :)
also to be found in the AWAD archives as an adjunct to peccant.
peccavi - [L, I have sinned] a humble acknowlegment of sin or error: confession
I have sinned: peccavi; a British commander in India, having invaded and captured Sindh, sent this one-word message to headquarters: Peccavi. Maybe somebody out there can look this up to make sure it is not apocryphal. If true, it is a marvelous pun, and even if it's not true, it's still pretty good.

Sindh... this is also mentioned in the peccant entry in the AWAD archives...
a British commander in India, having invaded and captured Sindh, sent this one-word message to headquarters: Peccavi.
Groooooooan. Seems like there is no escaping them. But then "the louder they groan the better they like them" ... Puns, that is, you naughty-minded ones!
