What the article doesn't mention is the scorn heaped on wannabes who use l33t. One of the surest ways to get viciously flamed in Usenet is to use leet - it's seen as a pathetic attempt to be kewl.

Don't count on it. I've never used it, nor has anyone I know. Had I not jumped onto this board two and a half years ago, I might have ended up going off into that world. Might have taught myself Flash too and I'd be in graphic design now instead of architecture . . .
