I would like to explain a prior post that was made here today.

1. I discovered this site from Poets&Writers and came here today and signed up for a new account. I have never been to this site prior to today. I did not see any rules that permitted posting "ads" for call for submissions. Yes, I guess I should have queried the owner first since I assumed that it was not against the rules but that is my mistake for not verifying it.

2. I do take some offense towards a couple of comments made by the members here but I also understand your side too. For I also receive those legit "spam" mails daily. My intent was not to spam but to post a resource for writers that may be looking for a place to submit their work, esp. new ones.

3. I have sent the owner an email requesting him to remove the post and an explantion of my actions here today.

4. The best thing to do-- for all of us----let the past be the past and start anew.

5. Hello, my name is T.A. Thompson and I live in the state of Texas and like you have a love for language, words and especially the written word.

6. Thank you and once again I apoligize for neglecting to fully understand your policy before posting here today. I just ask one favor- please check for yourself in November and read our journal and see the prove that it is legit.

7. Until we meet again on the road of life.

T.A. Thompson

look out gin bender... you are about to be sucked into a vortext of words, word play, wild hippapotumus, and at times, endless limericks.

we are great bunch, and Whitman, (aka as WO'N and Juan!) is our current resident poet. not that them means much, since all of us have been know to pen a fine word or two...

did your journal exist in hard copy until now? does a hard copy still exist side by side with the cyber zine?

we are all strongly opionated, and can all be wicked with words, but all in all we are great bunch. so stick around, and post a poem or two... or don't let this be your out let for prose.

'k, I'm sold, hello and welcome to awad. Don't worry, I received a few slapdowns before I got a hold of what this site is about. It's worth sticking around and I for one appreciate your gracious apology. dode

Sorry folks, I don't see the problem with Ginbender's submission. S/he's offering an opportunity that's exactly right in the context of this board.

I know spam when I see it. I'm not seeing it.

Let's be reasonable!

of troy: No, there is no prior print version. A print version is a "dream/goal" of mine in the long term. But the cost factor is of course the main problem. And yes, the expenses incurred now are out of my pocket but it's because I enjoy it and hope that our journal will grow and become a home for new writers as well as the "old".
Basically, my guidelines and "founding" rules are based on the standard small press print journal.

To everyone else: Thanks for the kind words and welcome. I will visit when time permits and hopefully will receive a reply back from the site owner soon.

And it's "Mr." but I don't like titles so T.A. will be fine.

ginbender, Anu doesn't have a good track record of replying to private mail, even from many of our longtime members (a busy man with all he has going here)...so don't feel put off if a response is not forthcoming.

Right sjm?

The politest response to that would be "no comment." To his credit, Mr. Garg has always been consistent in his reaction to missives from me.
