It's good to hear you say that. Anu created this place for us to romp around and delight in words. I cannot thank him enough for all the time and effort he devoted to this. I too will show my gratitude and respect by keeping this place the way he intended it to be.

without a lot of interpersonal relationship stuff" that phrase is the key to what caused a lot of unpleasantness.
Faldage, in his wisdom, got it right.
And these Anu's words say it all and we should remind ourselves of them, like a mantra, lest we forget what he created this board for.
This online community of wordlovers is bigger than any one person,
be it Keiva, Jackie, Anu, or anyone else. Let's not make this an
"either him or me" issue. Perhaps we can learn from English -- it accepts words
from all languages whether it's what some consider a "barbaric" tongue,
or a "refined" one. If we do not like a particular word, all we have
to do is ignore it, we do not need to tear out that page from the
dictionary. I do hope Jackie will be back as she has contributed
a lot and we all need her special love sprinkled on the board.

I'm still here, too. I shall remain, enjoying what I can enjoy, throwing in a wisecrack or two when the occasion occurs (and with a straight face at that); paying as little heed as possible to innuendo, vitriol, vengefulness, anger, and crudeness; applauding a well-crafted post; learning from those who know more than I do, and sharing my own knowledge if it's relevant; trying as much as possible not to offend people or hurt anyone's feelings. Call me a naif and an incurable optimist. I'll be proud to be either. Words are fun to play with. Words are wonderful. Words can hurt or be destructive. Just like fire or electricity. Hang in there, folks! (  , I think)
