From a combination of not learning phonics and learning most of my vocabulary from books, I often embarrass myself by pronouncing words incorrectly in conversation. I know AWAD comes with an audio recording of words. This I really appreciate. Do these come from some other service I could access? Is there any dictionary site online that provides audio files of the correct pronunciation of words?

Check out OneLook Dictionary.com

Enter a word, and lots of dictionaries will come up to click on. MW, among several others, has an audio feature for pronuncation.

Why thank you. Merriam-Webster's dictionary works quite well. As for being correct, well I may still pronounce words differently from most, but at least I can now point the blame to someone other than myself. :-) Thank you.
