Dear Keiva: compare a male pelvis with a female pelvis. Notice the difference in the distances between the ischial tuberosities. It will give you a clue.

Dr. Bill, You mean it all comes down to how big a hole there is in our pelvises? Thank you for not saying it is because of our big...um...hips. Yeah, that's the word I was looking for!
