There is a word for the little arrow that says "You are Here" on a map. I read it about a year ago. Anyone know the word for this?
Sorry, Meta4, I don't know the word for that little arrow, but it reminds me of a cartoon I saw years ago showing a similar map in an airport terminal with an arrow saying 'You are here' and another arrow some distance away saying 'Your luggage is here'. I bet there's a word for that!
How about pointer or indicator?

I think the cartoon was along the lines of "Breakfast in London, Lunch in Paris, Luggage in Rome"
I vaguely remember hearing of an airline, somewhere in Eastern Europe I think it was, which had the slogan "We send your luggage in all directions" until someone had a quiet word with them. Probably an urban legend, but ...
