Oh, damn and blast you, rodward! Forgive the baseball analogy, but I feel like a pitcher losing a no-hitter in the bottom of the ninth. For those of you not following the late voting on Zoutch, Mr. ward picked the correct definition by blind luck on the second to last vote cast. I reluctantly grant him the two points due a correct guesser, even if he doesn't deserve them. Just joking, rod. Good work. The correct definition was J -- To stew fish such as flounders, eels, etc., with just enough liquid to cover them.

In other scoring, tsuwm picks up 4 points with his excellent bluff, and other vote-getters are noted below.

A. A 19th century farm tool used to plant corn or other seeds at even intervals. WhitmanO'Neill

B. A small bag attached behind the pommel of saddles (South American). maverick 1 VOTE

C. To slob out in a comfy chair, to slouch or lounge. rodward

D. To reprimand in a foreign tongue; scolding that is not understood by the reciever. Jazzoctopus

E. An interjection expressive of pain, frustration, or indignation. Also used in speech therapy and for actors speech drills to emphasize the interaction between the tongue and the four frontal, lower teeth. wordcrazy 2 VOTES

F. A word for an action performed in comic books. consuelo

G. The Dutch system of controlled flooding of over-farmed land in order to re-fertilise it with river silt. Bingley 1 VOTE

H. A traditional Serbian bread, similar to a pretzel, made with unbleached wheat flour and amaranth. Sparteye 1 VOTE

I. A dark, coarsely cut pipe tobacco made in the Netherlands. Bobyoungbalt 2 VOTES

J. To stew, fish such as flounders, eels, etc., with just enough liquid to cover them. dictionary.com 1 BLOODY VOTE

K. A worthless person, a nobody, a zero. tsuwm 4 VOTES

L. The Yiddish word for the remains of the wineglass that the groom crushes at a Jewish wedding. TEd Remington

Updated scores and a new word will follow as soon as I've got time (probably later today). Thanks to all who played.

My apologies, Flatlander. My guess should have floundered. You will have to take consolation in nobody plumping for my definition.
But words like that one are bound to make it sooner or later.

Worse yet, I couldn't wait until Monday and googled it. I feel your pain, Flatlander. I was holding my breath, wondering if anyone was going to get it.
