you all have set a new standard for... sumtin' -- this time we are graced with definitions from max(!) and teD(!!), as well as the usual gang of suspects (Whitman, Brandon, Sparteye, Jazzo, Flatlander, Bingley, Fiberbabe, Bobyoungbalt, caradea, maverick, jimthedog, and tsuwm). so, here we go for hyphear; choose one:

I'm convinced it's some kind of vegetation, but there are 4 possible vegetative defs. So by a process of divination akin to dart-throwing, I shall go with A.
