I grew up in Switzerland, speaking Swiss-German, though I've lived in the US for many years. Every once in a while I come across a Swiss-German word, the origin of which is a total puzzle. The latest is "lisme", meaning 'to knit'. And there are of course others.
Do you know of a source that I could consult? I tried several web sites - to no avail.
