I am looking for a couple of words that I hope you can help me find.
1) a word for the child of a parent and his/her child.
2) a word for the misuse of a word, or a person who misuses a word or words.
Thank you.
Curious.
WELCOME, SYMPLE
----please, draw me a sheep----
symple, I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by this: the child of a parent and his/her child. If I am "the child", would you mean me and my mom's or dad's child--as in, my (half-) brother or sister?
Or do you mean me, my parent, and MY child?
Are you looking for some other word besides family?
Kin?
----please, draw me a sheep----
1) Something relating to Oedipus?
Offspring might work although many would assume you meant only one generation i.e. your own children. Descendants would include all generations but but is seldom used to refer to just those generations nearest you, your children and grandchildren.
Hi Zed! Nice to see you. Seems to me the question was about a word for a parent and a child together, but..... and the misuse or misuser of word could be many things. It also seems symple simply gave up.
1.) inbred offspring (I don't know of a one word definition, purebred maybe?)
2.) solecism / solecist
