Best to use nudge or even nudzh :
No one says "noodge" to sound or look like it rhymes with "woodja ?"
Go here: http://www.yiddishdictionaryonline.com/
& follow instructions for spelling.
You should arrive at:
nudge (American Jewish) a boring person; a pesty person, a badgering person nudzh noodzh (.) נודזש
The Yiddish spelling has 5 letters phonetically corespondent to n, u, d, z, sh.
Kol tuv (be well) as they say in the old country.

Wordsmith's "first use" dates for these Yiddish words are way off. I'm sure most of these words date back to at least the early 1900s.
