I am after tring to create a list of words with 5 letters without the letters q or z in them...plus the second letter of the word needs to be an i - is there a way of me getting a list of all real words that can be created?

welcome, ums! you might try onelook patternssomething like ?1??? will get you everything with five letters with i as the second, but then you'll have to filter out the q's and z's.

I was curious, so I tried this search (common words only) and there are (only) 1533 five-letter words with second letter i in the OneLook index. (this is fortuitous since the upper limit for listing is 2000.)

1533! Even if 1/3 have a q or z I hope you aren't planning to make your students memorize the list.
