I've been getting a word-a-day for YEARS. I save the words I like, but unfortunately I saved some old ones on Outlook on an old old PC that eventually crashed before I could save emails.

Since then I have been on a quest to find a word I remember coming up a long time ago. I remembered it because it seemed applicable to the Dostoevsky I was reading at the time.

From what I vaguely recall, the word was an adjective that means something to the effect of: induces/suggests/ a feeling of faith/godliness/religion.

"Holy" is a paltry substitution for what the word meant--holy implies that there is some inherent quality of goodness to the object, whereas this word seemed to encompass how an object may suggest or trigger religious feeling in the person.

Does this word ring a bell? Or, am I aggrandizing a similar word?

Much thanks for your help!
