Yes, I came up with it as a variation on the warrior tribe founded by an "ant-man" (not at all golf-clubish, tsuwm).

In myth, Zeus appeared to Eurymedousa, princess of Phthiotis, in the form of an ant (myrmex) siring Myrmidon.
