I am curious. You state that the meaning of 'hirsutulous' is "minutely hirsute". What does that term mean? Is it close to the word 'pilgarlic', meaning bald? Or does it imply that one is a hairs breadth away from being pilgarlic only because one has a faint fuzz of hair on one's head?

I would appreciate your advice.

hirsutulous seems to be widely used in Botanical contexts. If you look at these citations, they don't suggest pilgarlic at all.
