Another word question:
I just got back from Hawaii. I heard an word while I was over there for the spray or mist generated by surf, which in Hawaii, as everyone knows, can be very heavy; sometimes this "wave spray" even affects driving visibility and is mentioned in the weather report.
I have forgotten the term, and it's bothering me.
Does anyone know?

I didn't know there was a specific term for this, but I'm interested to know what it might be. I've only ever heard it referred to as ocean spray or ocean mist or impact spray and the like.

Using Onelook's reverse dictionary I came up with sea spray, spindrift, and haar (Scottish).
