Guess what?
I just found out that we can write in colors that aren't on the chart! This has been written in teal, turqoise, silver, and magenta. Not sure what others will come up. Lime green won't.

Are teal, and turquoise different colors? And what color is this?

Innernesting. Teal and turquoise are different when I do them but I don't see a difference in Jackie's text.

Edit: Never mind. Operator malfunction.

A-OK, Roger and out!
This is so cool!
I'd been wondering what that little question mark was for! Finally decided to take it literally.

Ooh, I like mediumspringgreen, but it's just a little too light to read easily.

HEY! Alex, how'd you get that lovely color?? I typed in mediumspringgreen, and it came out red!

FWIW, Alex's and eta's are the same shade to me; Jackie's is a little -- er -- greener. Certainly not red. Guess it depends on the browser, huh?

hmm. I don't see how there could be any difference, unless the forum look you're using does the rows in different shades...

Perhaps it depends on the style sheet (skin) you have selected in your preferences. The style sheet certainly affects the readability of certain colors.

Ya wouldn't think so, but Jackie's post was definitely red on my screen at work and here at home it's medium spring green

Weird. That's probably what happened to Faldage up top, too. I'm using the Green Day color scheme (I never have liked that word skin.). I tried default and mediumspringgreen is still red.

What happened to Faldage up top was he didn't notice that the first line was part of the color scheme.

Uh Jackie you did click on edit to double check that the color name inside the brackets is correct, right? i.e. you typed <color:mediumspringgreen> mediumspringgreen </color>

Stupid crossword... how can "coral" mean "soft pink"? I mean, coral (reefs?) vary in colour. And, no definition in my dictionary conforms to pink nohow! just stupid...stupid crossword... right? they got it wrong... I should complain. I should.

mediumspringgreen Better than typed: copied and pasted, first into the color box, then in between the sets of brackets.
I should note, however, that it is all but impossible to insult my intelligence where anything re: computers is said.

SQUAWK! Now, it IS medium spring green! ??? I musta done something wrong the first time. Thanks, Alex.

Edit: Logwood, coral is a kind of orangey-pink.

Aha--I decided to take a look at my first mediumspringgreen post using the edit function, and discovered that that phrase had quotation marks around it, and even a space in front of the closing one; dunno how they got there, but I'll bet that's the problem.

..and different browsers appear to deal with these extraneous characters differently. I have both IE and firefox open to your post right now; firefox is definitely greenish and IE is real red.
