OP I think this might come up if I do a proper search, but I really don't have the time at the moment, sorry. Also, I think it's a quick question to answer for USonians: What does GOP stand for?

So, now the second question (sorry!), is GOP applied only to the Republican Party, or can they all be referred to as "Grand Old Party"?
