PRONUNCIATION:
(bush leeg)

MEANING:
noun: A minor league of a professional sport, especially baseball.
adjective: Second-rate, unpolished, or amateurish.

ETYMOLOGY:
From allusion to the bushes, referring to uncultivated land, countryside, the sticks, or small towns. Earliest documented use: 1906.
