TRY TO SEE IT MY WAY

Perhaps this is a sad comment on my state of mind, or maybe on how I've been treated...? But I've always been irritated by this song, because it suggested to me that the man felt he was right and the woman wrong, and she should listen to him instead of sticking to her erroneous point of view.

There sure are at least two sides to every story....But that song seemed to indicate (at least I felt it did) that the man considered his side to be "right"....Many of the lyrics could probably be addressed to the man as well. He's determined to see things his way, just as much as she's determined to see things her way. Perhaps they EACH need to look at the other's point of view....

My read on it, anyway. FWIW. (two cents, I'm guessing!)
