Last week's puzzle on National Public Radio's Weekend Edition (Sunday) was for a pangram involving a famous name. Entires were judged on meaning, syntax and overall elegance; the shorter, the better.
The winning entry was G. W. BUSH QUICKLY FIXED PRIZE JAM ON TV . Not sure how meaningful this is, or how elegant, but hey -- the guy who runs these contests in the NY Times's crossword puzzle editor, so there you have it:
