OP In looking up the various meanings of hosanna, I was very surprised to find in one reference that hosanna can be used as a transitive verb.
Has anyone ever heard hosanna used this way? Or perhaps read passage in which hosanna was used as a transitive verb?
Best regards,
Wordwondering
PS: My AHD does not include the transitive verb use--I just checked. My source for the transitive verb inclusion was Wordsmyth online.
