One of the IS administration group in my organiziation is the National Employee Registration Database Section-- or NERDS for short.

so somewhere in the org, there is a NERDS manager, who manages a bunch of NERDS.. I know about them, because any time you want to make a change in personal information, (in Notes) (ie, change of name, (marriage/divorce) change of job title, or even a telephone number change), you have to contact a member of the NERDS!
