well, larrup is a verb; to beat, flog or thrash:

I'll larrup you till you can't stand.

and we all know how easy it is to noun a verb:

Your father'll give you a fine larrupin' if he comes home and there's that cow lost.

and then, reverbing the noun:

Heard the first spatter of drops, the outriders Larruping on the road.
