OP It's fairly typical of aphasia in multilingual stroke victims that they will lose the last language learned first.* A friend's father in Brazil, who immigrated there in the late 30s, had a stroke and lost all his Portuguese and most of his Russian but retained the Yiddish he had grown up speaking in "the old country."
