A very noisy vote, this one, nothing but decibels.

Now - making a wordpost of this - why doesn't it end in "-acy"? Most government forms (democracy, aristocracy), or other practices of variable nefariosity (diplomacy, indelicacy, lunacy), end in -acy. The only words I can think of offhand that verge on having an -icy suffix are hypocrisy and apostasy, and those are close-but-no-cigar, even if some think they may be thematically related...
