OP Missed this literary passing. Just read it in Time. I found Leon Uris's Mila 18, about the Warsaw ghetto uprising, one of the most poignant, haunting, and stirring reads of my young life (I read it at 14). I also really enjoyed one of his lesser known works, Topaz. Of course, Battle Cry and Exodus are among his many noted tomes.
