I'd say no, WW...because, I think, we dig merely as a matter of convenience, to bury our dead, to forage for roots we found to be tasty, to acquire that shiny yellow metal we could fashion into trinkets...whereas, the other species dig as a matter of ongoing survival, instinctually, for burrowing and/or their main fare. Can you dig it?

Yeah, but, we have to dig for survival:

Think of our agriculture;
Think of the roadways;
Think of the buildings and houses that are put up.

If we didn't dig, we'd have to live in caves and live off berries, roots, nuts and whatever we could catch. I'd say the human race is well entrenched in digging for survival.

I get your point, but I'd say: Look around and see how many evidences there are of human fodience.
