Somehow I guessed this article was written by a Brit, even before I noticed the £ sign over to the side. Cute!
Self-Googling, however, makes us realise that it’s not intra-faith disputes and sexual desire that makes the world go round, but long-standing petty rivalries between C-list journalists, scientists and academics. This could be key in long-term projects such as world peace: instead of UN resolutions and birth control, perhaps all of humanity just needs to go away together for a paint-balling and team-building weekend in Cheshire. Then we could all write reports about it and put them on the Net, along with flattering pictures...

FWIW, I've googled wwftd.

Apparently I own a Financial Planning business, have starred in a couple of dodgy pornos, and have been involved with a few medical student functions. Well, at least one of those is true.

There are so many varied Alex Williamses that we should have a club. It would be such fun. I picture every member introducing him or herself: "Hello, my name is Alex WIlliams..."

Here's my favorite self-google, an essay titled Don't Execute Alex Williams, http://www.nodeathpenalty.org/newab017/alexWilliams.html. Other interesting alter-egos include a Coast Guard captain, an artist, and a porn star.

i am older than i thought, there is news of my 80th birthday celebration, but that i have written 5 plays is nice news, but two husbands? Oliver and Phil?
i am inclined to think the only woman who is looking for a husband is one who never had one! Two isn't one too many, its two too many!

You were looking for a husband? gee never thought that... mind you, there is nothing wrong with having a husband, or even aquiring a new one, its the idea of actually going out and looking for one that i don't understand!

husbands are like stray cats or dogs, they come into our lives, and we put up with them, and then learn to love them, . but go out and look for one?!?

I'm a fifteen year old exchange student who plays the piano but never sings at school concerts, I play polo in Scotland and write travel articles for a dreadful online magazine based in America. I am enormously fat, I have a mullet and am married to a man named Kristopher. Wow, who knew my life was so filled with mundanity.

I am the Area Coordinator for Metals, I graduated from Champlain College and have been with a Vermont Law firm since 1999. An athlete competing in Hammer Throws and Discus in Missouri, I also run a Contracts Management Office. Closer to home (if I limit self-googling to site:au) I’m a housing management officer at Duntroon, a research student at Deakin Uni, a Turf Farm Distribution Co-ordinator, and Professional Development officer for the Australian Institute of Refrigeration Air-conditioning and Heating. In my spare time I’m a Community Librarian and I won a “Quest for Excellence” award for my design entitled Forces of Nature.

Kinda ironic that the article that started all this was about people wasting time self-googling.

I'm a professional angler and promoter.

Further I'm a photographer.

But most importantly, I'm a former christian rock star, but according to one web site, on "July 28, 1982, there was a small plane crash and went home to Jesus." I'm collecting my old CDs with plans of signing them and selling them at a prophet.

Yup, there's only one me too, CK. Although some sort of gastroenterologist in Norway seems to have had my name as her *maiden* name - my Norwegian isn't quite up to the task of determining what that page is about!

I have my own dance studio in Bridgeport, Michigan. I was interviewed regarding an artist's accomplishments. I co-authored a review of appellate law developments in Michigan. I am a member of the MSU President's Club.

Overall, quite boring. Except for the dance studio part.

Was that wind instruments in general, or tuba in particular, naunt?

I can certainly visualise nuncular playing the tuba. A certain sense of "everything's right in the world" indeed.

Did anyone notice that there's a website that does this for you? I just found it: http://www.googlism.com

And as far as time wasting with google goes, we Aussies excel:

"Where Googlism.com is owned by an Australian company Domain Active, there we go, we saved you the hassle of doing a whois. "

Tee hee!

Not much exciting if I google my everyday name. I find that I am a living descendent of Caspar Engels (who's he?), I graduated from Wagner High school Class of '66 (my I'm precocious!)and I'm mentioned in this e-mail header: Acid Jazz Archive: Fwd: Fwd: FW: Disney's Challenge (Microsoft's E-mail tracing program)
My own real self doesn't google up.

that sounds very high. how'd you do your google? if you just enter john smith without any quotes, you'll get hits on (for instance) "john anderson and carl smith". try the difference between that and "john smith", with the quotes. it's an order of magnitude...

I check in at "about 17,800." I knew about the 1957 Dragnet episode, and I knew about the Josephine Tey character, and I knew about the Max Shulman book, and I knew the name was fairly common, but this is ridiculous !

Guess I'll have to stick with wofahulicodoc if I want to remain anonymous.

I've done this before, but thought it might be fun to do it again.. none are me, by the way.

Apparently, among other things, I'm:

a graduate student at Cornell University who works for Richard Rand
a cabin crew manager at Singapore Airlines
an eleven-year-old with a liking for Pokemon
a reviewer for Dunhill ("White Spot Review" and "Baby's Bottom Review")
a reference from the Obstetrics Section of the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society on someone's resume
a Singaporean doctor
an author
someone who's going for a Ph.D.
a baby who was born one year ago exactly (Nov. 12, 2001)
someone involved with the Institute of Quarrying (Hong Kong Branch)

Just for fun, I did my screen name. All the ones that show up on Google are me. Hopefully, my brother or sister won't decide to search on my screen name. (Flamsterette_X or Flamsterette) If I do Flamster, however, I end up with a couple of results from Pokemon Village.. plus a couple more in French.

Oh, and I check in at "about 71,400" with my real name. With my screen names and variants thereof, it's very narrow.. maybe 14 at the most. I've also done Googlism before, as well. Very freaky.
