Actually it's a transposition. It was the right to keep and arm bears.

Why else would they call the storehouse an ursenal??

the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."...

That's just a typo. The Founding Fathers were a charitable bunch - they meant alms.

No, no, that's another typo. They were the FOUNDLING Fathers - all of 'em born in an orphanage. Now, as to how the NRA manages to get the pols to ignore the first clause in the Second Ammendment, well, just remember NRA stands for National Republican Army. And don't fergit that the head of the NRA talks to god personally! (Charlatan Heston)

no wonder the wheels of justice turn so slowly

As the old saying goes :
"The wheels of the gods grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine."

And if you don't think you can relate a god to a judge, well, you haven't been in may courtrooms.

Joke on me. I thought the 'Mills of God" was a Biblical quote, but it is not.

Though the mills of god grind slowly,
Yet they grind exceedingly small;
Though with patience he stands waiting,
with exactness grinds he all - Friedrich von Logan : Retrbution 1655

Max, I went to your site. I couldn't find anything to tell me where Arsenal is, but it seems to be a nice enough little town. I see they're interested in improving their education, as per this headline: "Edu keen to succeed at Arsenal". The only thing I clicked on was the ladies of Arsenal; I thought I'd see a listing of their social organizations, but. It was a nice picture of what I'm guessing is their womens' softball team. Feel free to fill me in, if you'd like.

I'd seen it translated with an achaic form on the adverb, which to me adds greatly to the emotional impact:
Though the mills of God grind slowly,
Yet they grind exceeding small;
